The President of India, Smt. Pratibha Devisingh Patil will be traveling to Kolkata on a two-day visit beginning on August 23rd. This shall be the first visit to West Bengal and Kolkata by Smt. Patil since she assumed the office of the President.
During her two-day visit, the President shall be participating in the Celebrations of 225 years of the Asiatic Society, Kolkata which is being held tomorrow and the 150 Years Celebrations of the Uttarpara Jai Krishna Public Library at Hooghly on August 24th.
The President shall be returning to New Delhi on August 24th after this function.
